My Mail

I remember when I was little, getting the mail was one of my favorite things! We had a Post Office box in the tiny town of Geraldine, MT because we lived so far out in the boondocks that no mail man ever dared to venture to deliver mail everyday!! I loved getting the key and looking for box 334! It was a little high for a kid so I had to jump up to peek and make sure I got everything! Then I would stop and flip through the mail so see if anything cool came. Like missionary mail, or birthday cards or mmmmm report cards?:0) Normally there was something I was amused by, if not the "funnies" (as I called them, others know them as the comics section of the newspaper) would keep me satisfied.
WHY NOW DO I ONLY GET BILLS AND COUPONS????
Oh, probably because missionaries now write emails, people text "happy birthday" and we read the news online. Thank you techlology for taking away my good mail.
I always wanted a little mail box with a little red flag on it. Maybe someday... if mail still exists!

"Pants on the ground"

So American Idol fans, have you had this stuck in your head for the last week too?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yl_HvEHSlxQ

at work in my office alone:
little bounce in my chair with my head doin a little bob and in my head
"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin like a fool with yo pants on the ground"

at home cooking in the kitchen, with Savana on my hip, dancin and singing pretty much at the top of my lungs:
"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin like a fool with yo pants on the ground"

blow drying my hair, getting ready for work singing and dancing while yet the same song:
"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin like a fool with yo pants on the ground"

I probably would be embarrassed if I walked in on myself!

(please view the link so you know what I'm talking about, even if you are not an American Idol fan it will give ya a good laugh!)

Intruder!

So on my last post I wrote about opening my patio door right? Well as I shut the door I could not get the stick back in the slide-track-thing and just left it for Geoff, with his big manly muscles to push it back in to secure the door so no body can open it.

Well I forgot to have Geoff fix the stick and he left the next morning at about 5:45am to get to work by 6am. I think the garage door woke Savana up and I was laying there hoping she would quickly fall back asleep so I could relax for a little while before starting my day.

The next thing I know I hear a metalish clicking noise and bigger louder longer noise...like someone pricking a sliding door lock and the door sliding open. I completely had a mental melt down....my baby is still making noises and I swear someone just broke into my house....cold sweat...heart pounding...oh I feel like I'm on a horror movie!

Pray pray pray pray and pray some more....I hate being home alone!!! I have never been so scared! But I must have either prayed the intruder away and he silently left my house closing the door behind him and put the stick back where I put it or I imagined the noise. I guess I will never know.

Spring?

This morning it looked so nice outside! The sun was shining and the sky all blue. This morning I was cleaning my kitchen I just had this almost instinctive motion to open my patio door and let in some fresh air. Well, those of you who are aware that it is winter are probably thinking I'm crazy since its freezing cold! Yeah, I froze after about ummm 4 seconds. And I hesitatingly shut it just hoping that some miraculous thing would happen and a lovely heat wave would bring fresh air in and for a moment quench my thirst for spring.
Oh springtime where are you?
